China’s Premier Processing & Packaging show for all industries opens in Shanghai
Shanghai, 12^th July 2016 – the 22^nd edition of ProPak China, China’s premier Processing and Packaging Exhibition will open its doors to thousands of trade visitors from 13-15 July 2016 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, SNIEC. This year, featured industry sectors of FoodTek; BevTek; DairyTek; CosmeticTek and PharmaTek will again take place within ProPak China, offering visitors a convenient source of technology relevant to their specialist industry sectors. More than 600 participating companies from 25 countries and regions will exhibit this year, including pavilions from France; Germany; Italy; Japan; Korea; North America and Taiwan Technology. Buyers in search of the latest processing and packaging technology, for all industries including food, beverages, dairy, confectionary, snacks, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, FMCG goods, electronics and industrial manufacturing will find new ideas and solutions for their product manufacturing at ProPak China 2016. All trade visitors are welcome to attend.
 
Companies exhibiting independently of group pavilions and bringing new technology and innovations to the show include Nison, Scaime, SNC Lanavin from France. Hermann, Ultrascahll, ILLIG, Koch, ProLeiT, Siko, SIEGWERK, ViscoTec, WEISS from Germany.  Aetna, Carle + Montanari, Ilpra, Pelliconi, Uteco Converting from Italy.  Langen, Masek, Omron, Rockwell, Safino, SiLGAN from USA, AlphaPack, GsPak, Kunba, FND, Sunflower AutoControls from China. Hiroyuki, Keyence, NLI, Nikka, Nokimoto, SMC from Japan, HLT from Switzerland, JEC from Korea, Jindal Films from India and KEED, Mindman from Taiwan Technology. The range of new technology on show this year includes inspection system, material handing machine, filling machines, multi delta triaflex loading unit, auto – packaging machines, robots, metal detector, capping machines, weighing systems and more. From China, “Strategic Partners of ProPak” and the country’s leading technology manufacturers once again have a large presence at the show. Strategic partners for 2016 include Anritsu, Baiyueda, BOSCH, Eiahe, Fuji Machinery, Gantan, Hualian, Ishida, Komack, Maxwell, Omori, Precise, Sbwpack, Topak, Toyo Jidoki, Wolf, Yamato, Yilong, Youngsun, Yuanxu Pack, Yuedong, Zhongya and Zhufeng.
 
ProPak China is unique in China as the only event for the packaging industry to attract the participation of the national packaging associations from the world’s leading technology producing nations, plus pavilions of their top companies. Visitors to ProPak China can meet representatives and member companies from JPMA and FOOMA, Japan; KPMA, Korea; PMMI, North America; TAMI, Taiwan Technology; UCIMA, Italy and ADEPTA from France. The largest country pavilion by area this year is Germany, occupying over 417 square metres and 17 companies with USA second largest covering 398 square metre and 21 companies. 
 
ProPak China is as an internationally recognized event and this year individual trade buyers and group delegations seeking processing and packaging technology have pre-registered to attend from 75 countries. Amongst the international buyers; Australia; India; Korea and Thailand have the most buyers visiting the show. Visitor group delegations are confirmed to attend ProPak China from India, while Korea who will send delegations of more than 200 companies to the show. More than 61% of the total visitors attending ProPak China 2016 will come from mainland China. Provincial and city delegations are confirmed to visit the show from Chongqing, Helongjiang, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Wuhan and Qingdao. While more than 5,000 individual visitors including plant engineers, factory managers and senior management have registered to attend from Chinese companies all over the country.
 
Social media is a widely used tool in our daily lives and ProPak China 2016 is an active participant. Thousands of buyers have downloaded the ProPak China Wechat and App to obtain more information about the show and the participating companies. The ProPak China App is fully re-launched this year and includes an e-catalogue, product sorting and matching making options, making it even easier to connect exhibitors to their customers.
 
New this year, is the ProPak Food Quiz Bowl, a competition for Food Science students from seven East China Universities including Zhejiang University; Fuzhou University; Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Shanghai Ocean University; Zhejiang Gong Shang University; Jiang Nan University and Nanjing Agriculture University. The ProPak Food Quiz Bowl organized by the Fuli Institute of Food Science connects ProPak exhibitors to the food scientists and manufacturers of the future. Other specialist industry events taking place at ProPak China this year include a number of industry seminars presented by Edoo Media, Shanghai Beverage Industry Association, China (Yangtze Delta) Beverage Alliance and the Active Intelligent Packaging Industry Association.

Admission to ProPak China 2016 will be granted to trade and business visitors only. No person under the age of 18 years will be admitted. All visitors must be properly attired and present business cards when requested to by the organiser and their representatives. The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to any person.
